Mistful Crimson Morning drops Boyfriend into a unique mix of Friday Night Funkin and SpongeBob SquarePants. It pits the hero against twisted undersea fighters drawn from a famous creepypasta about Squidward. You groove through thirteen fresh tracks while matching every beat against each rival.
In story mode you take on Squidward across three rap clashes. You face him to Humiliation then Mist with gunshots in the mix and finally Doomsday. The freeplay menu unlocks ten bonus songs with challengers from the SpongeBob cast, Robot Chicken sketches and even MeatCanyon characters. It hit a development dead end at one point but now it stands fully loaded.
The build labeled Mistful Crimson Morning V2 Cancelled marks its last form. The team canceled the project many times. The final version adds four new tracks called Bold or Bash, Propaganda, Evader and Failure. They tweaked Sanguilacrimae sprites, stretched Served and fully remastered Satisfaction. The mod runs seventeen songs from Humiliation to Failure.
